Malene Snaps Career Stolen Bases Record

After second baseman Sarah Malene tied the all-time career stolen bases mark in the top of the first in game one, fan would have to wait until the top of the first in the second game for the Woodbridge, Va. native to put herself in sole possession of the career stolen bases mark. Malene's stolen base in the top of the first in Charlotte's game two victory over La Salle gave the senior her 78th career swiped bag. The former standard had stood for 16 plus years until Malene eclipsed it on Saturday in Philadelphia. Malene now owns the career and single season runs records to go along with the stolen bases mark.
